Bhaag Milkha Bhaag is a 2013 Indian biographical sports film directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra which follows the life of athlete Milkha Singh. It stars Farhan Akthar in the lead role with Sonam Kapoor, Divya Dutta, and Pavan Malhotra in supporting roles. The film is a sequel to the 2012 film Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and was released on 22 July 2013. The story charts the life of one of India's most well-known athletes, from his troubled childhood and struggle against poverty to his triumph at international events including Olympics, Asian Games and Commonwealth Games. The filming of the movie began in Mumbai on 3 May 2012. Filming also occurred at IIT Kanpur, Nainital, Allahabad, Delhi, Jhansi and Patiala. The first look of the movie was revealed on 13 April 2013. The soundtrack of the film is being composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. Loy's father Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan lent his voice for this album for a qawwali written by him titled 'Sohniye'. It has lyrics by Prasoon Joshi with English translation also written by him. Loy has recorded the qawwali in his studio earlier. The album received positive reviews with one critic saying that "the hues of music are subdued and gentle giving the listener the feeling of being in a havanaise setting" whereas another said that "the mix of instruments is quite soothing".The film collected on its opening day.
